SMITH, Bernice Irene - Age 86, of Bay City, formerly of Fenton, died Friday April 28, 2006 at Brian's House in Bay City. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, May 1, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Burial in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Bernice was born October 7, 1919 in Davison, the daughter of Frank and Nettie (Brown) Langley. She married Benjamin C. Smith February 19, 1943 in Corvalis, OR, and he preceded her in death September 12, 1962. She retired from Fenton Community Schools where she was a cook for many years. Surviving are: 6 children, Michael C. and wife Kathleen Smith and son, Benjamin and wife Jessica of Fenton, Kathleen S. and husband Jack Adam of Bay City, George K. and wife Becky and children, Jacob, Michael, Trevor and Danielle of Union City, TN, David B. Smith of Fenton, Gregory B. Smith and children Marissa and Angela of Fenton, Raymond S. Smith of Bay City; 4 great grandchildren, Kelly, Terry, Bryant and Amanda; sister, Phyllis Polzin of Davison; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Norma Caldwell and a host of other friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles A. Smith; 5 brothers, Paul, Harold, Stewart, Donald and Glen; sister, Sara Foutch.
