Bernice Eileen LANG

LANG, Bernice Eileen -- Age 94, of Fenton, formerly of Mt. Morris/Flint, died December 16, 2011 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, December 20 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton, Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton with a vigil service at 7 PM Monday; and 10:15 AM until the time of mass at 11 AM Tuesday at the church. Bernice was born December 14, 1917 in Bay City the daughter of Leo and Emma (Rancour) DuCharme. She was married to Willard "Pee Wee" Lang on May 25, 1940 in Bay City; he preceded her in death May 17, 1999. She had worked at the Flint City Club and the Durant Hotel. After retirement she moved to Florida where she enjoyed great times of daily golf, cookouts, and companionship with a group of 28 couples from the Flint area. Surviving are: two children, Michael and wife Sara Lang of Durand, Sue and husband Mike Williams of Fenton; four grandchildren, Kim Hansen, Karen and husband Andy Garcia, Kathy Lang, Kellie and husband Sean Austin; nine great-grandchildren; sister JoAnn and husband Jack Etue of Flint. She was preceded in death by her husband,; daughter Sandy Lang; grandson Troy Williams; brother Frances "Fritz" DuCharme. Tributes may be shared at the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
