Bernhardt Duane CHRISTENSON

CHRISTENSON, Bernhardt Duane "Bert" - Age 86, of Grand Blanc, died Saturday, May 21, 2011. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-6 PM Sunday and 4-8 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Bert was born January 1, 1925 in Flint, the son of Christen Bernhadt and Ida Belle Christenson. He was married to Annie Ellen Rates in 1945; she preceded him in death on August 13, 2007. Mr. Christenson retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Major. He served as a pilot during WWII and also served during the Cuban Crisis. He owned and operated Ann's Used Cars and later Ace Realty. Mr. Christenson was a 32nd Degree Mason. Surviving are: children, Bud (Judy) Christenson, Donna Christenson, Jo Ann (Larry) Carter, Ted (Clara) Christenson; grandchildren, Chris Christenson, Deidre' (Andy) Christenson-Main, David (Shannon) Carter, Dr. Jill (Dan) Doan; great-grandchildren, Madison, Mia and Landon.
