Berneda Baker

BAKER, Berneda Grace -- Age 101 of Swartz Creek, died July 30, 2022.  A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, August 13, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5005 McCandlish Road, Grand Blanc.  Reverend Dennis Himm officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM Saturday until time of service at the church.  Burial immediately following at Bristol Cemetery, Flint.

Berneda was born December 13, 1920, in Flint, the daughter of Louis and Mildred (Ketzler) Baker.  She resided in the Swartz Creek area her entire life.  She retired from AC Spark Plug in 1974.

Surviving are: nieces and nephews, Christina (David) Scharrer, Mark (Cindi) Nelson, Rebecca (Jeff) Miller, Deborah (Larry) Sachs, Leon (Tena) Baker, Jr, Sandra (Al) Decker, Duane (Sharon) Baker, and McKenna (Shannon) Baker, Jr.; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Louis and Mildred Baker; brothers, McKenna Baker, and Leon Baker; and sister, Martha Nelson; sisters in law, Pat and Marilyn Baker; and brother in law, Curvin Nelson.

The family would like to give special thanks to loyal neighbor and friend, Ken Harrington, and all the caregivers at Addington Place of Clarkston (formerly Autumn Ridge) with special thanks to “JoJo.”
