Bernard A. BENDLE

BENDLE, Bernard A. -- Age 78, of Swartz Creek, died July 5, 2012 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Services will be 11 AM Thursday, July 12 at the South Mundy United Methodist Church, 10018 S. Linden Rd., Grand Blanc, Pasor Hal Phillips officiating. The family will recieve friends from 10 AM until the time of service at the church on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the South Mundy United Methodist Church. He was born February 27, 1934 in Swartz Creek. He graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1953 and attended Flint Junior College. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army, 16 months of it in Korea. Mr. Bendle worked at Chevrolet Metal Fabricating for 30 years. He was a member of the Flint Elks Club #222 and sang in the Elks Glee Club. He attended South Mundy United Methodist Church and sang in their choir. Left to cherish his memory are two sisters, Betty J. Anderson, Christine L. Campbell; eleven nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ivan C. and Eleanor M. Bendle; brother, William J. Bendle.
