BEDELL, Bernard L. - Age 93, of Linden, passed away, Wednesday, March 2, 2022. Funeral Services 11AM Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Flint Central Church of the Nazarene 1261 Bristol Rd., Flint. Pastor Jon Gildner officiating. Visitation 2PM-4PM & 6PM -8PM Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton and 10 AM until the time of service Thursday at Church. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Memorial Contributions in Bernard's memory would be appreciated to Carriage Town Ministries or Flint Central Church of the Nazarene.

Bernard was born August 27, 1928 in Rankin the son of Ford and Ruth (Putnam) Bedell. He married Flora Mae Lasch in Flint, November 26, 1949. Bernard graduated from Linden High School. He was employed by Fisher Body Plant #1 as a Fork Lift Driver for 38 years. Bernard was a member of Oak Street Free Methodist Church where he served as the Superintendent of Sunday School and as a Song Leader. He later joined Flint Central Church of the Nazarene where he served as an Usher. Bernard enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and was skilled at cabinetry.

Bernard is survived by: his loving wife, Flora Mae Bedell; children, William (Paula) Bedell, Deborah (Garnet) Elliott, and Kirk Bedell; grandchildren, Bethany (Chris) Baker, Angela Jennings, Alex Bedell, and Nathan (Pam) Scripter; great grandchildren, Patrick Jennings, Iona Jennings, and Kendall Baker; siblings, Joyce (Stan) Helm, and Gerald (Carol) Bedell; and several nieces and nephews.

Bernard was preceded in death by: his parents; grandson, Barney Bedell; siblings, Jim Bedell, Eileen Nielson, Annette Sharp, and Myrna Stanridge. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
