MAY, Bennie Lavoy- Age 73 , of Alger formerly of Flint, died Sunday, December 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Thursday, December 10, 2015, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Chaplain Terry Wolfgang officiating. Burial will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 5 PM-8 PM Tuesday, 2 PM-4 PM and 6 PM-8 PM Wednesday and 10AM until time of service Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to Home & Hospice Advantage. Bennie was born September 23, 1942 in Paragould, Arkansas, the son of the late Neil and Geraldine (Smith) May. He married his sweetheart, Faith JoAnn Prime on September 26, 1965. He was a very proud United States Marine. Mr. May retired from Fisher Body with 20 years of service. Bennie loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching racing with his sons. Bennie had many different trucks, cars and motorcycles. He loved to hunt, fish and telling stories. Surviving are, his loving wife Faith May; sons, Neil (Tonya) May, Bennie May II, Edward (Linda) Lawrence; grandchildren, Sarah May, Scott Quaal, Neil (Melissa) May, Kyle (Brooke) May, Briana May; great grandchildren, Evan and Chloe.
