Benjamin F. "Frank" Todd, 79, died Wednesday afternoon, August 12, 2015 at his home with his wife at his side. Frank was born November 20, 1935 in Gibson, Missouri to Chester and Mamie (Stearns) Todd. He grew up on a farm, planting and harvesting cotton and soybeans with his family. After graduating from Holcomb High School, he found work in the auto factories of Flint, Michigan in 1956. It was in Flint that Frank met Thresa Eagleson whom he married November 23, 1957. They made their home in Swartz Creek. Frank was a crane operator at Chevrolet Metal Fabricating, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed planting a big garden, working in the yard, fixing things, playing his guitar and harmonica, visiting with his friends and playing cards. Frank never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone. Survivors include his wife Thresa, daughters Janice (Mark) Walker and Linda (Chris) Pobocik; grandchildren Benjamin (Amy) Pobocik; Bethany (William) Thuku; Joshua (Tara Hunt) Dew; Joseph (Paula) Pobocik and Nathan Dew; 9 great grandchildren with another on the way; and his brothers Bill (Geraldine) Todd of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and James Todd of Ludington, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his brothers Byron, Myron and Joe. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am Sunday, August 16. 2015, at Sharp Funeral Home, Swartz Creek. Cremation will follow. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Frank may be made to McLaren Flint Pulmonary Rehab.
