Benjamin Green

GREEN, Benjamin A. - Age 67, of Fenton, died November 4, 2014. Services will be held 12 PM Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 12-3 & 5-8 PM Friday and from 10 AM until the time of service Saturday. Ben was born May 16, 1947 in Lima, OH, the son of Benjamin H. and Betty Green. He earned a Bachelors Degree from Ohio Northern University and a Masters Degree from Michigan State University. Mr. Green spent his career at Fenton High School, where he taught for over 32 years, retiring in 2004. He loved to play tennis and bocce. He also enjoyed biking, swimming, spending time in Florida and woodworking. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jane; children, Benjamin E. (Kimberly) Green of Fenton, Melinda (Bod Bodnar) Linske of Brighton, Tiffany (Jhan) Graether of Santiago, Chile; grandchildren, James, Lilja, Emilia, Brennan, Benjamin I., Parker, Kya, Caleb, McKenna, Eli, Madisyn, Klaire, Liam, Isaiah, Noah and Jonathon; siblings, Betsy (Alan) May, Jill (Steve) Perham, Gary (Barb) Green. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, James L. Linske; grandchildren, Selah and Josiah.
