Beatrice M. PIFER

PIFER, Beatrice M. - Age 93, of Flint, died Saturday, July 3, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held 11AM Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Hope United Methodist Church, G-4467 Beecher Rd., Flint. Rev. John Ferris will officiate. Visitation will be held 11-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint and from 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday at church. Those desiring may make contributions to Hope United Methodist Church. Beatrice was born July 31, 1916 in Mundy Twp., one of nine children of Leroy and Harriet (Lofty) Childs. Mrs. Pifer was employed by Fisher Body for 33 years and was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. She was married to Charles Pifer in 1940; he preceded her in death in 1991. Beatrice never met a person she didn't like and was loved by all who knew her. Surviving are: children, Carole (Ron) Porter, Barb (Patrick) Kirby, Kathy McCree, Rick (Marilyn) Pifer; grandchildren, Jill, Scott, Shelly, Michael, Mark, Cindy, Cathie, Kim, Derrick, Christine, Andrea and Rick; 32 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Brenda Sanford; grandson, D'mitri McCree; great-granddaughter, Avery Pifer.
