Beatrice Kranz

KRANZ, Beatrice M - Age 87, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Monday, January 29, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 10AM until time of service on Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to Meals on Wheels of Michigan. Beatrice was born July 13, 1930 in Flint, the daughter of the late Frank and Gladys (Hill) Long. She married Russell Kranz on April 23, 1949 and he preceded her in death on May 21, 2005 after 56 years of marriage. Beatrice retired from AC Spark Plug in 1982 after 30 years of service. She was a member of Local 651 and was proud to be a GM retiree. Beatrice was also a mall walker for many years and enjoyed her time there with friends. Family was everything to Beatrice and she will always be remembered as a very caring, kind person who unselfishly shared that love with each new addition. She truly never had a bad word to say about anyone she met. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren called her GG and they will truly miss her. Surviving are: sons, Keith (Wendy) Kranz of Ashland, Oregon, Kevin (Luann) Kranz of Sanford; daughters, Kathy (Mark) Dixon of Traverse City, Karen (Wayne) Kinne of Grand Blanc; brothers, Robert Long, Frank (Sally) Long; sisters, Helen Evans, Barbara Nellis; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, She is also survived by spouses of her grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rachael Kranz, sister-in-law Inez Long and brother-in-law Harold Evans.
