Beatrice Branham

BRANHAM, Beatrice - age 88, of Fenton, died February 24, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, MI 48430. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fenton. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or American Cancer Society. Beatrice was born November 23, 1933 in Iaeger, WV, the daughter of William Anderson and Laura Belle Justice, Jr. She married Hartzel Edwin Branham on January 15, 1954 in Virginia and he preceded her in death on August 29, 2008. Beatrice was a graduate of University of Michigan and taught her entire life at Flint Public Schools retiring in 1997. She was a huge sports fan especially U of M Football, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions. Beatrice loved the outdoors and passed that love along to her children. Her flower gardens were her pride and joy until she had grandchildren and she became a doting grandmother. Surviving are: two children, Judie (Michael) Parsons of Swartz Creek, Ricky (Teresa) Branham of Fenton; three grandchildren, John and William Branham of GA, and Alexis Branham of Grand Rapids; great-grandson, Zayhden Branham of Fenton; special friend, Lisa Branham, who shared her love of Dancing with the Stars; She will also be missed by her precious dog, Scooter. She was also preceded in death by son, Gregory Branham. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of McLaren Medical Center in Fenton and Flint and Brookdale Assisted Living in Grand Blanc.
