Barry Norwood

NORWOOD, Barry Lynn - Age 74, of Byron, passed away July 17, 2022. A memorial service will be held 12PM Friday, August 5, 2022 at Hope Lutheran Church, 7355 Silver Lake Rd., Linden. Pastor Paul Kollek will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Hope Lutheran Church, Linden. Barry was born November 6, 1947 in Bessemer, AL, the son of Leonard and Essie Mae (Bennett) Norwood. He retired from Ford Motor Company and was also employed at Bob Cagle & Son farm in Livonia. He was a devoted, loving husband and father. Barry was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Linden. He was a diehard Alabama fan. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; children, Nancy Wyant (Mitchell Curry), Michael Norwood and Brian Norwood (Bonnie Mack); grandson, Jamie Wyant; great-grandson, Jasper Wyant; loving furbabies, Josie Mae and Hardy Bennett; best friend, Bill Evans.
