Barbara "Elayne" Cole

Barbara Elayne Cole, born May 22, 1933, died in her Flint home surrounded by loved ones on April 6, 2022. She graduated from Linden High School in 1951 and married Gary Lee Cole Sr. on October 10, 1953.

Elayne worked a number of jobs, was a master gardener and a tireless volunteer and advocate for NAMI, Leader Dogs, Habitat for Humanity and other organizations.

She is survived by her children and their spouses: Barb & Don, Marcia, Billie Jo, Michael, David and Laurie; six grandchildren: Rayna, Sarah, Melissa, Claire, David Jonathan and Spencer; six great grandchildren: Alan, Kade, Trenton, Syrae, Tanner and newborn baby girl Joy-Holihan.

She is preceded in death by her husband Gary Sr. and son Gary Jr.

Private burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NARSAD or NAMI.
