Barbara Thomson

THOMSON, Barbara Ann- Age 77, of Owosso formerly of Flint, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday July 11, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday July 23, 2018, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church,1209 Coutant St., Flushing. Burial will follow in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris . Visitation will be held 4PM -8PM Sunday July 22 at Sharp Funeral Homes. Our temporary location at Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Swartz Creek and 10AM Monday until time of service at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the family. Barbara was born February 26, 1941 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Bernard and Martha Theresa (LaFeldt) Scheuner. Barbara retired from the United State Post Office with 13 years of service. She proudly served in the U. S. Army Reserves from 1974-1977 and was a member of the F.O.E #3485 of Mt. Morris. Barbara had been an active Pool League member of the BCA/ACS, National referee and ran the BCA Pool League of Flint for more than 20 years. Barbara was also an active member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Flushing. She enjoyed Bunco, crocheting and playing cards with friends. Surviving are: children, Beverly (Christopher) Stapleton of Flushing, Becky (David) Cook of Gaylord, Robert (Sherri) Thomson of Redford; grandchildren, Coby (Cristal) Carpentier of CA, Nathan (Whitney) Nehls of KY, Bryan (Sara) Cook of Cedar Springs, Jeffrey(Kayla) Cook of Berkley, Jeramy Thomson of Detroit, John Cook of Gaylord, Jessica (Eric) Ayotte of CA, Lillian and Angela Thomson of Redford. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Matthew, Brayden, Lukas, Crew, Calvin, Trace, Noelle, Liesl, and Blithe and many nieces and nephews.
