Barbara Sisler

SISLER, Barbara D. - Age 89, of Swartz Creek, passed away on January 7, 2022. Private services will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Barbara was born May 1, 1932 in Detroit the daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret (Allport) Wood. She married Donald Sisler on December 16, 1950. Mrs. Sisler worked for Swartz Creek Community Schools as an Educational Aide for 31 years. She started at Mary Crapo in 1965 and continued at Elms Road Elementary, where she remained until her retirement. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Donald; children, Sherry Mozak of Swartz Creek, Dana (Rod) Southwell of Gaines, David (Jacqueline) Sisler of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Shelley Mozak (Toya), Laurie Mozak (Bill), Katie Mozak (Brett), Brandon (Kara) Southwell, Jenny (Brian) Sheeran, Cameron Sisler, Andrew Sisler and Billy Knight; great-grandchildren, Emma Southwell, Ethan Southwell and Wylde Knight; best friend, Shirley Freed; special neighbors, Martina and Todd. She was preceded in death by her son, Don Sisler; daughter-in-law, Daca Sisler; grandsons, Chad and Todd Sisler; son-in-law, Gary Mozak.
