Barbara Selden

Selden, Barbara Ann - Age 87, of Linden, died November 3, 2017. A memorial service will be held 12 PM Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Linden Presbyterian Church, 119 W. Broad St., Linden. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Linden Presbyterian Church. Barbara was born December 25, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of Ray and Helen (Webber) Breese. Barbara was a graduate of Michigan State University earning a bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Social Work. She was a member of Linden Presbyterian Church where she served as a church Elder, Deacon, and Sunday School teacher. Barbara was also an officer in Lake Huron Presbyterian for several years. She was employed by Child and Family services of Michigan, Livingston County Office, where she served as a supervisor of older adult services. Barbara also worked for Genesys Hospice as a medical social worker. She dedicated her time as a volunteer for various agencies and schools. She is survived by her children, Susan (Thom) VerWys of Lansing, Ann (Barry) Gibson of Linden, Kathryn Selden of Linden, David of Goodrich; thirteen grandchildren, Shari (Norm) Luck, Michael (Stacie) Selden, Stacy (Jonathan) Gregory, Ray (Britney) VerWys, Araminta VerWys, Nina VerWys, Afawna (Adam) Johnson, Alison (Ben) Wright, Jenni (Tom) Cruthers, Kristi (Tony) Maygar, Andrew Gibson, Alissa (Cole) O'Connor, and Jordan Nelson; great grandchildren, Mitchel, Mason, Ryleigh, Molli, Abigail, Hannah, Leah, Gabriel, Elijah, Lucas, Zoe, Jared, Blake, Lily, Kimberly, Thomas, Myra, Micah, Samantha, Tyler, Lexi, Devin, Hannah, Alex, Matthew, and Piper.
