Barbara was born on March 19, 1948 in Standish, Michigan to the late Henry and Helen (Nieman) Cummings. She graduated from Standish-Sterling High School and married Samuel Ray Miller on August 19, 1972. Barbara worked for Peerless Mattress and Furniture for years before retiring in 2007. She enjoyed coloring, singing, music, playing yahtzee on her phone, long drives and being around the water. Her greatest joy was picking her granddaughter up from school and spending time with her. Barbara was a very social person and was known as "Aunt Pete" to many who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughters; Melissa (Billy) Glandon of Flint and Mary (Jim Boettcher) of Swartz Creek. Granddaughter, Karinna (Tyler Furze) Glandon of Flint. Sisters, Judy Card of Sterling and Janet Ziembo of Davison. Also surviving are many nieces; nephews; and close friends, Barb Boettcher, Lorna Foster and Dawn Furze. Special recognition to Barbie Ziembo and Arika Ketchum for their compassion and care of Barb in her final days. Barb was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Samuel; siblings, Jayne Daniels; Laurie Lee; Robert Cummings.
