McQueen, Barbara R. - age 66, passed away on July 7, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 13, 2018 at Hope Lutheran Church, 7355 Silver Lake Road, Linden. Visitation will be held 1-8 pm Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E Broad Street, Linden. Barb was born October 1, 1951 in Detroit to her proud parents, Sherman and Ruby Bennett. Surviving are her husband, Timothy; children, Lisa Pearce, Bev (Bruce) Dresselhouse, Ken (Candy) Osmond, Lance (Linsey) Osmond and Jacob McQueen; her beloved grandchildren, Emily, Noah, Owen, Kevin, Victoria, Lucia, Lincoln and Larkin. Siblings, Robert (Jan) Bennett, Sandra (John) Schram, Linda (George) Wright, Annette (Tom) DeMay and Randall Bennett; and many nieces and nephews that all hold a special place in her heart. Barb loved her family and friends with her whole heart and soul. She never knew a stranger - everyone that crossed her path was treated with kindness and compassion. Barb had a strong faith and was very involved in her church. She taught Sunday School, was involved with Oasis, Vacation Bible School and would often let it be known that she would gladly take as many people that she could fit in her car to learn about Jesus. Her family was her pride and joy and brought her never ending happiness. She loved traditions such as the family's annual camping trips, making "human sandwiches", taco night and playing "robber". She made an impact on many lives being involved and a supporter in her kid's and grandkid's various sports. She was a "Hockey Mom" first and foremost in addition to volleyball, softball, baseball, track, football and cheerleading mom. She lived as a child of God forever being a kind and loving person to those placed in her path. She had a special bond with all; especially children. Those desiring, may make contributions to Hope Lutheran Church to be used towards their youth programs.
