Barbara Isabell McClung

McCLUNG, Barbara Isabell  Age 71, of Flint, died Friday, May 21, 2004 at Ovid Health Care Center. Services will be held 1 PM Monday, May 24, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimers Association or the Carmen Ainsworth Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. McClung was born May 30, 1932 in Flint, the daughter of John G. and Jessie (Kolbe) Miller. She was the valedictorian of Flint Hoover High School Senior Class of 1950. She married Charles Franklin McClung in 1950 in Flint and he preceded her in death in March of 1989. Mrs. McClung retired from K-Mart after 25 years of service in shipping and receiving. She was active in the Carmen Ainsworth Senior Center and enjoyed watching NASCAR races on Sunday afternoons. Surviving are: three children, Danny L. McClung and wife, Theresa of Burton, Kathlene A. and husband, Larry Van Deusen of Ovid, James M. McClung and wife, Karen of Flint; eight grandchildren, James McClung and wife, Shana, Aaron McClung, Danielle McClung, Jessica McClung, Jason Van Deusen, Lisa and husband, Ian Thomlison, Amy Van Deusen, Kari McClung; two brothers, Charles Miller and wife, Donna of Flint, John Miller and wife, Phyllis of Swartz Creek; very special sister-in-law, Dolly Miller; several nieces and nephews.
