Barbara Kopko-Muzzy

KOPKO-MUZZY, Barbara E. - Age 81, of Swartz Creek, died May 11, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at The United Methodist Church of Swartz Creek, 7400 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Dr. Gary Glanville will officiate. Burial in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 10 AM until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make contributions to Swartz Creek Community Food Basket or the charity of one's choice. Barbara was born October 10, 1935 in Marlette, MI, the daughter of Earl and Zena (Jarvis) Griswald. Mrs. Muzzy was a member of The United Methodist Church of Swartz Creek. Barbara was very involved with The UMW, Food Pantry and several charitable groups. She was a Headstart teacher in Beecher and also retired from JCPenney after many years, along with serving as a union rep. She is survived by her children: David M. Kopko, Debra J. (James) Cullen, Steve E. (Julie) Kopko, Thomas A. (Robin) Kopko and Michael P. Kopko; grandchildren, Hannah (Casey) Kopko-Collins, Rebecca (Joseph) Kopko-Olane, James M. Cullen Jr., Mary (Christopher) Cullen-Storey, Chad M. (Jen) Kopko, Jeremey R. (Holly) Kopko, Steven Kopko, Casey L. Kopko, Emily J. Kopko-Pate, Michael J. Kopko, Melanie E. Kopko; 8 great-grandchildren; step-children, Vicki (Stan) Gadd, Myla Sue (Roger) Bodary, Beth (Joseph) Rezpecki, Rick (Norma) Muzzy, Pam (Patrick) Lovato; sister, Pauline Sholes-Bull; in-laws, John and Ruth Kopko, Mary Marker, Duane and Eloise Swayze.
