Barbara Vincent

VINCENT, Barbara Jean, age 85, of Swartz Creek, passed away April 18, 2022. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, April 22 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, Owosso. Visitation will be Thursday 5-8 PM with an American Legion Post 294 Auxiliary Service at 7:30PM.  Visitation will also be from 12 PM Friday until time of service at the funeral home.

Barbara was born May 12, 1936 in Owosso, the daughter of Harry Tester Burgess and Venus Louise Perry. She resided in Swartz Creek and was a 1953 graduate of Owosso High School.  Barbara married the late Elmer L. Vincent on September 28,1985 in Flint. She was a babysitter in her home for many years and was also a sales manager at Highland Appliance. Barbara was a member of the American Legion Post 294 Auxiliary, and ran craft shows there. She was also a member of  the Kiwanis Club.

Surviving are: her children, Pat Sweeney of Mt. Morris, Barry Sweeney of Montrose, Dennis (Shari) Sweeney of Swartz Creek, Susan  (Larry) Gehl of Burton, Nancy (George) Ulrich of Ft. Wayne, IN,  Mike (Karen) Vincent of Swartz Creek, Steve (Kathy) Vincent of Clio, brother Buryl (Shirley) Burgess of Owosso; 11 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
