Barbara Columbine Genovesi, age 91, of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully at her home on December 22, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Barbara was a deeply devout member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Swartz Creek, where she actively participated in church activities and prayed the rosary twice daily. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Barbara's kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering support made a lasting impact on everyone around her. She taught her family the importance of love and laughter, demonstrating selflessness and warmth through her actions. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, such as reading, doing word searches, and assembling puzzles alongside her family. She treasured her legacy, which includes 18 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and two special grandchildren on the way; brother, John Walker (Tami) of FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Dante Sr., son-in-law Joseph Brasher, daughters-in-law Melody Genovesi and Ronda Genovesi, and granddaughter Amy Martin. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, with Fr. Roy Horning as celebrant.
