Barbara Edwards

EDWARDS, Barbara Alice- Age 85, of Swartz Creek formerly of Flint, died February 5, 2017. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday February 10 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek. Interment at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be 10 AM until time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the Humane Society of Flint or American Heart Association or American Cancer Society. Barbara was born August 6, 1931 in Flint the daughter of Theodore and Thelma (Ramsey) Kauertz. She married Eugene W. Edwards on April 4, 1953 in Flint he preceded her in death on June 26, 1995. Barbara was a Teller at Citizens Bank. She was a supervisor of the Latch Key and Lunch Lady for Dye Elementary. She was a member of the Italian Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking for her family. Barbara also enjoyed reading, and cross word puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her dogs. She also liked spending time at her cottage in Lake City Michigan. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Mark) Floria; 5 grandchildren, Michelle (Craig) Barton, William (Angela) Butrum, Kelsey Butrum, Cody Butrum and Madison Floria; 4 great grandchildren; son in law, William Butrum; dogs Lola and Lilli. many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; daughter, Jeanine Butrum; 4 siblings. Tributes may be shared on the obituaries page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
