Barbara Dickenson

Dickenson (Dearing), Barbara Jean-Age 79 of Flushing died at her home surrounded by family on Monday, September 4, 2017. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM, Friday, September 15, 2017 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly. Those who knew Barbara knew her love for animals and can make donations in her memory to The Humane Society. Barbara was born on December 4, 1937 and grew up in North Branch, MI. She was the daughter of Buster and Ruth Dearing. She married Donald L. Dickenson on June 23, 1956 in Angola, IN and they celebrated 61 years together this year. Barbara was an Avon representative in Swartz Creek, MI for over 25 years and had two children, Brenda (Fournier-Spencer) and Jeffrey along with a grandson, Jay and great grandson, Owen. Barbara will be remembered for her love of flower gardening, cooking, fashion and playing the slots. She was quick to laugh and a great story teller. Her life made the world a more fun and beautiful place.
