DANIEL, Barbara E. - of Fenton, formerly of Flint, passed on to her heavenly life on Sunday July 30, 2023. Visitation will be 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Wednesday August 2, at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Thursday August 3, 2023 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 6481 Faussett Road, Howell, MI officiated by Fr. Gregg Pleiness as celebrant, assisted by Deacons Bill Sirl and Pat MacDonald. Barbara was born July 2, 1935 in Waterbury Vermont, the daughter Warren and Mae (Deslippe) Ladd. She married William P. Daniel in Detroit on January 25, 1957. They were married for 58 years and had five children. Barbara graduated from Mercy School of Nursing of Detroit in 1956 and worked as a nurse until she started her family. She volunteered for many years at Holy Redeemer School. Barbara was a staunch defender of the unborn, and in 1974 founded Heartbeat of Greater Flint. Throughout her near 50 years there, she provided comfort, support, maternity and baby items to thousands of mothers and babies. She was an active member for the last 30 years at her beloved St. Augustine’s Church in Howell. She loved to dance, volunteer, and enjoyed lake life, pontoon rides, spending time with her family and friends, and her St. Augustine’s faith community. Surviving are: her loving children Tim Daniel (spouse Paula), Monica Daniel, Margaret Graham, Matt Daniel (spouse Lara); grandchildren, Nick Daniel, Lauren Daniel, Keegan Daniel, Taina Cuevas, Antonio Cuevas, Emily Graham, Josh Graham, Matthew Denman, and Lauren (Brett) Harris; great-grandson, Blake Allen Harris; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by William Daniel, her son Patrick Daniel, and her brothers Conrad, Ritchie and Don Ladd.
