BRATCHER, Barbara J. - a resident of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at Genesys Health Park. Services will be held 3 PM Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association. She was born in Bay City, MI on January 9, 1918 and had been a resident of the area most of her lifetime. Mrs. Bratcher was employed as a receptionist/secretary at Hill Funeral Home and later, Reigle Funeral Home. She retired after some 27 years of service. She was a member and past president of the Eastside Senior Citizens in Flint. She also was a member and past president of the American Business Women's Association, Flinttowne Chapter. She was honored by that association as Woman of the Year in 1980. Mrs. Bratcher is survived by: two daughter, Shirley Ann Waterman and husband, Willis of Roscommon, Jeannie Flick and husband, Larry of Swartz Creek; four grandsons; one granddaughter; 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Hazel Blanshine of PA.
