ABRAHAM, Barbara Ann - Age 71, of Byron, died peacefully on Monday, June 20, 2011 at her lake home after receiving a liver transplant in 1999 and battling cancer for several years. Funeral services will be held 3 PM Friday, June 24, 2011 at Hope Lutheran Church, 7355 Silver Lake Rd., Linden. Burial will follow in Byron Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday, 2-4 & 5-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden. Barbara was born July 13, 1939 in Detroit, the daughter of William and Geraldine (Stager) Manke. She was married to Richard Alex Abraham on May 4, 1963 in Detroit. Barbara was employed by the Livonia Observer & Eccentric Newspapers for 28 years, retiring in 2006. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Granny, relative and friend. Surviving are: husband, Richard; children, Richard Jr. (Melanie) Abraham, Heidi (Brian) Tierney, Noelle (Spencer) Brown; six grandchildren, Max and Vince Tierney, Olivia, Jillian and Macy Brown, Ecko Morgan; sister, Geraldine (James) Ruff.
