THOMPSON, Audrey J. - age 82, of Burton, died Friday, September 2, 2011 at Linda's Place in Linden. Services will be held 10 AM Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at South Baptist Church, 4091 Van Slyke Rd., Flint with Pastor Larry Burk officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Morris Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint and 9 AM until the time of service Wednesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the South Baptist Church. Mrs. Thompson was born August 15, 1929 in Flint, the daughter of Robert and Emma (Freeman) Thompson. She married Clyde Thompson on February 25, 1954 in Toledo, OH. Mrs. Thompson worked as a cashier at Hamady Brothers Grocery for 20 years and owned her own retail store for 20 years. She was a member of South Baptist Church. Surviving are: husband, Clyde; three sons, Robert (Kathy) Thompson of Grand Blanc, Tom Thompson of Mt. Morris, Tim (Mary) Thompson of Mt. Morris; daughter, Tracie Thompson of North Myrtle Beach, SC; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth (Jack) Sinn of Burton.
