YEOTIS,   Athan E., age 79, a resident of Flint, died Thursday August 4, 2005 at home.  Mr. Yeotis was born December 8, 1925 in Skortsinou, Greece. He has been a resident of the Flint area since 1951.  He was retired from General Motors Parts after many years of service.  Mr. Yeotis was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA).  He is survived by 2 daughters; Katherine Yeotis of Ankorage, Alaska and Peggy Yeotis Brown of Rosewald, Georgia. Further survivors include a brother Gus Yeotis of Skortsinou, Greece and several cousins; Art Yeotis and wife Sue, Patricia Ladis and husband Paul, Cathrine Yeotis, Honorable Thomas Yeotis and wife Meg, Betty Vlahakis and husband Angelo, Eli Chinonis and wife Katie, Gus Chinonis and wife Sandy, John Chinonis and wife Linda, Dr. Panos Chinonis in Greece, Vaso Hasoulas in Greece and special friends, George and Sarah Georgiou.Memorial servcices will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, August 6, 2005 at the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, G3170 Beecher Rd.   Fr. Stavros Ballas officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.  Mr. Yeotis will lie in state at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. (Just South of Hill Rd.) from 3 to 8:00 P.M. tonight where a Trisaigion service will be at 7:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Mr. Yeotiss name may be given to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
