KNIGHTS, Ashley Thomas, age 57 of Grand Blanc Twp., died Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Genesys Health Park.  Mr. Knights was born in Luton Bedfordshire, England the son of Thomas A. and Constance V. (Clifton) Knights.  He has been a Grand Blanc resident the past 27 years.  He married Peggy Calmes on July 8, 1975 in Flint.  Mr. Knights has been employed by General Motors the past 38 years, most recently with the General Motors Proving Grounds in Milford.  He has been attending the Mott Community College and most recently honored by being on the National Dean's Honors List for having a grade point average of 4.0.  He was a very active volunteer for the National Kidney Foundation having participated in the Walks for Charity. He was a very devoted family man and friend.  Surviving is his wife, Peggy;  2 children;  Stephanie Ann Knights of Galvaston, Texas and Timothy Ashley Knights of Burton.  Also surviving is his mother, Constance Knights in Luton, England, a Brother, Robert Knights also in Luton along with 2 nieces, Claire and Kathryn.  Further surviving is a special cousin, Stan Watkins and wife Sonia and a special friend, Jim Parker. He was predceded in death by his father, Thomas Knights in  1977.
