Arwood Thompson

Thompson, Arwood Franklin - Age 95, of Flint, died October 25, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM Tuesday October 29 at Sharp Funeral Homes & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Flint. Visitation will be held 10:30 AM until the time of service Tuesday. Those desiring may make contributions to Heartland Hospice. Arwood was born February 5, 1924 in North Branch, the son of Franklin and Katherine (Crake) Thompson. He married Mabel Thompson November 10, 1945 in North Branch. She preceded him in death on May 15, 2019. Arwood worked for General Motors- Fisher Body as a Metal Finisher for 34 years retiring in 1980. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Some of his greatest joys were fishing and the outdoors. He enjoyed 20 years of his retirement in Florida.
He is survived by sons, Dale (Diane) Thompson of Ada, MI; Mark (Allan) Thompson of Flint; grandchildren, Danielle (Patrick) Landis of Lowell, MI, Darryl Thompson of Seattle, WA; great-grandchildren, Aaden, Brooklyn, Jillian, Jocelyn. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
