Artra WILCHER

WILCHER, Artra - age 85, of Swartz Creek, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Durand Senior Care. Services will be held 12:30 PM Saturday, November 14, 2009 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Rev. JD Landis officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until the time of service Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wilcher was born October 25, 1924 in Conway, AR, the daughter of Oliver Jerome and Maggie (Parham) Duran. She married Joseph Vernon Wilcher on June 3, 1943 in Rector AR and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1998. Mrs. Wilcher was a member of the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church for 60 years. She was also a member of the Swartz Creek Senior Center. Surviving are: two sons, Gary J. Wilcher of Lake Worth, FL, Randy J. Wilcher and wife, Cherie of Colorado Springs, CO; two daughters, Betty J. Vliet and husband, James of Swartz Creek, Carla Green of Lake Worth, FL; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Wanda Long also survive.
