JANKOWSKI, Arthur Edward "Art" - age 80, of Fenton, passed away on September 15, 2019 peacefully at home after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, September 21, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton with Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM - 11 AM Saturday at the church. Contributions may be made to the Stone Chapel Restoration Project at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Arthur was born February 2, 1939 in Flint, the son of Joseph E. and Anna Mary (Knapp) Jankowski. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army 24th Division serving from 1956-1959. Arthur married Carol Smiecinski on July 13, 1968. He owned and operated CNA Plumbing and Supplies in Fenton for over 40 years. Arthur was an avid hunter, golfer and fisherman. Surviving are: wife, Carol Jankowski; son, Michael (Kim) Jankowski; daughter, Anne Marie Kane; grandchildren, Scott (Faith) Jankowski and Kelsey Jankowski; three great-grandchildren, Aubrie, Carter, and Chloe; siblings, Helen Sutkowi, Delores Benjamin, Vivian (John) Killian, Lorraine (Peter) Benjamin, and Edward (Carole) Jankowski; sister-in-law, Janet Jankowski. He was preceded in death by: his parents; son, Jeffrey Jankowski; brother, William; and sister, Audrey. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
