Arthur Newsome Jr.

NEWSOME Jr., Arthur - Age 67, of Burton, died May 13, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, May 17 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. Visitation will take place 5-8 PM Tuesday. Arthur was born September 23, 1949 in Greenville, Mississippi, the son of Arthur and Josie (Evans) Newsome. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served his country in Vietnam. He married Nam Il Park in Flint on June 15, 1973. Arthur retired after 32 years of service with GM at Flint Metal Fab. He enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nam; stepson, Hyun (Kyung) Park; grandson, Andy Park; great grandson, Mason Park; several brothers and sisters.
