Arthur S. HOLLINGSWORTH

HOLLINGSWORTH, Arthur S. - Age 74, of Fenton, died August 2, 2012 in Simi Valley California. Services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Arthur was born December 29, 1937 in South Bend, IN, the son of Arthur and Sarah Marie (Dickerson) Hollingsworth. He was a graduate of Dearborn High School and Henry Ford Community College. He also attended Lawrence Tech for engineering . Arthur married Joyce Nagle on November 22, 1958 and they had two daughters. He raised his family in St. Clair Shores before moving to Fenton in 1980. Arthur married Mary Hampton in June 1996. Mary and Art enjoyed their many years together, along with his favorite cat Missy. Arthur had worked for Holley Carburetor and Buick Engineering. He retired from Buick Engineering Feb 1, 2000. Art was a honest and hard working man. He had a great sense of humor and loved socializing with everyone he met. Art was a people person, there wasn't a time he didn't have all of us laughing. Thinking back about Art makes you chuckle. He also enjoyed fishing, wood working, and hanging out with his family and friends. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Surviving are: wife Mary, daughters, Lynda Grant (Russ Grant), and Teri Firth (Jim Firth), sisters, Virginia Miller and Penelope Hollingsworth, Art will be missed by all.
