CHAKERIAN, Arsen, "Chick" age 86, of Houghton Lake, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Hilltop Manor, Roscommon. Funeral services will be 12:30PM Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Interment will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 11AM Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Adopt-A-Pet. Chick was born July 13, 1925 in Providence, Rhode Island the son of the late John and Sophia Chakerian. He married Judith Lane on November 3, 1979 in Farmington. Chick was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1944-1949. He was employed by Spector Freight as a truck driver until his retirement in 1982 after 32 years of service. Chick was a loving, friendly guy who will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife Judith; 3 daughters, Tracy Jackson of Toledo, OH, Ronda Hughes of Grand Isle, VT, Robin Bringard of Detroit; 2 step-daughters, Linda Richards and Shawn Dunn both of Dearborn; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Spencer of CA; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Roxanne Chakerian; brother, Arthur Chakerian; sister, Esther Hartman.
