Arnold "Arnie" Oseland

Arnie was born on April 4, 1943, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Guy & Lorraine Oseland. Arnie graduated from St. Simon High School in Ludington, MI and continued his education at Central Michigan University where he earned his Bachelor's degree. While at CMU, he met the love of his life, Sue.  They were married June 18, 1966 and stayed married for 57 years until Arnie's passing. Arnie started his career as a high school math teacher. Shortly thereafter, in the early 1970s, he made a career change moving into the newly emerging computer hardware and software sector. His first job was with International Business Machines (IBM).  He held several positions within IBM and earned many prestigious awards and trips during his career with them. Arnie would later leave IBM to start working as an independent consultant in software and services. He started many of his own companies in the years that followed finding success in everything he did while working within the technology space. He was the architect, designer, and owner of many software applications that are still being used by companies today.

Arnie enjoyed fishing, reading, cooking, and all things technology related.  Above all, his fondest memories were those spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, and other family. He is remembered as being a very happy and positive person who brought people together. Children loved listening to his fun, improvisational story-telling while adults found him easily approachable and genuinely caring. Arnie and his wife Sue hosted the best parties where all felt welcomed while having the greatest time.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue; two sons, Rick (Michelle) Oseland and Rob (Kris) Oseland; five grandchildren, Jacquie, Cliff, Rikelle, Alexandria and Nate.
Arnie is further survived by his siblings and many other dear family members and friends.
