ORVIS, Arnold Floren, age 74, of Fenton, formerly of Pontiac, died Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at home. Funeral Services will be held 11AM Friday, February 16, 2007 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Rev. Audrey Charlton officiating. Interment will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, with Military Honors performed under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. Visitation will be held 5-8PM Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Avalon Hospice. Arnold was born March 20, 1932 in Pontiac, the son of Floren Stanley and Eva Mae (Walters) Orvis. He graduated from Pontiac Central High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1951 to 1956. Â Arnold married Sally Lynne Cook on June 26, 1962 in Cadillac, and for the last 25 years they resided in Fenton. Â He was employed by General Motors Truck and Bus in Pontiac until his retirement in 1986. Surviving are his loving wife of 44 years, Sally; son, Jeffery Orvis (Jessica) of Statesboro, GA; 2 daughters, Lynne Kay Langlois (Jeff) of Fenton, Carol Anne Hanus (Kevin) of Rose City; 6 grandchildren, Katlyn, Kyle, Jameson, Jacob, Kristin, Jennifer; sister, Naomi Griffen (Gene) of Pontiac.
