Armand James Robins

ROBINS, Armand James - age 98, life long resident of Swartz Creek, died Saturday, May 14, 2011 at Avalon Hospice. Services will be held 1PM Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek. Internment to follow at Bendle Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8PM Tuesday and 11AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice. Armand was born November 30, 1912 in Swartz Creek, the son of the late Charles and Lina (Jessop) Robins. He married Donna E. Perry May 20 1935 in Swartz Creek, and she preceded him in death on May 29, 2002. Mr. Robins raised Bees and sold honey for more than 40 years. He retired from Sears and Roebuck Store in 1960 with 24 years of service. Surviving are: sons, Lloyd and wife Jane Robins of Owosso, and Karl and wife Tamara Robins of Durand; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 great- great-grandchildren; many neices and nephews. He was also preceded in death by daughter Sharron Brunner; sister, Loretta Robins, and sister, Dale Passmore; and brother Richard Robins.
