Arlington C. Edwards

EDWARDS,   Arlington C., age 76, a resident of Mt. Morris Twp., died Monday, February 13, 2006 at Hurley Medical Center.  Mr. Edwards was born in Whittemore, Michigan on February 9, 1930 the son of Ernest and Ruth (Keeler)Edwards.  He has been a Flint area resident for many years.  He and Leona Nichols were married on July 21, 1951 in Flint and she survives.  Mr.Edwards was employed at General Motors and retired from the Grand Blanc Metal Fab after 30 years of service.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that loved spending time with family, playing cards and other games with them.  Surviving is his loving wife of 54 years, Leona; 4 children: Peggy (Fred) Nolde of Grand Blanc, Clifford Edwards of Liberty Twp., Ohio, Marla Pargoff of Whittemore and Robin (Edward) Lumbert of Liberty Twp., Ohio.  Also surviving are 11 cherished  grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Arlington  Edwards, Jr. in January of 2004. His family will be at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation to receive friends from 3 to 8 P.M. Wednesday.  In Lieu of Flowers, memorial gifts in his name are being accepted to the Pancreatic Cancer Reasearch (PanCan).
