Arlene Ruth STADTFELD

STADTFELD, Arlene, age 63, of Flint, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at home. Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Visitation will be 1:00p.m. Saturday until time of service at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Greater Flint Cancer Institute or The Arid Club. Arlene was born October 29, 1947 in Albion, MI the daughter of Arthur Latin and Maybelle (LaLonde) Merritt. She was a graduate of Baker College and was employed by Securitas for 7 years until her retirement in 2009. Arlene was a member of the Arid Club where she began the Tuesday Night Ladies group 29 years ago. She was proud of her 31 years sobriety and enjoyed dancing and church. More than anything she loved her family, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are her 3 children, Bruce C. Stadtfeld, Jr. of Kincheloe, MI, John M. Stadtfeld of Flint and Rhonda Rachow of Flushing; 4 grandchildren, Alyssa, Michael, Christen, Robert; 2 sisters, Vickie Doyle of Three Rivers, Ann Marie Pierce (Doug) of Constantine, MI; sister-in-law, Carolyn Kay Merritt; close friend, Tonya S. Baker of Burton and several nieces, nephews, loving family members and too many friends to mention. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lawrence Arthur Merritt and brother-in-law, Robert Doyle. The family extends special thanks to Heartland Hospice for their loving care.
