Arlene Sipes

SIPES, Arlene June, age 80, of Flint, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Grand Blanc Rehab and Nursing Center. Funeral Services will be 1PM Monday, December 1, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with Rev. Ward N. Sipes officiating. Interment will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8PM Sunday and 11AM Monday until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of donor's choice. Arlene was born June 28, 1928 in Port Huron the daughter of the late William and Della (Wells) Cross. She married Ward Edwin Sipes in Flint on September 19, 1959 and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2003. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School. Arlene had resided in Flint for many years and was a member of Westwood Heights Methodist Church. Surviving is her son, Paul E. Sipes (Mary Jo) of Grand Blanc; step sons, Rev. Ward N. Sipes (Bonnie) of Spring Arbor, MI, John C. Sipes (Marcia) of Rochester, NY; 2 grandchildren, Justina and Corey Sipes; Brother Paul Cross of Ypsilanti and many neices and nephews.
