Arlene Newcomer

NEWCOMER, Arlene M. - Age 77, of Swartz Creek, died July 10, 2018. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Saturday, July 14 at Sharp Funeral Homes Miller Road Chapel. At our temporary location, Hill Creek Church, 5363 Hill Rd., Mundy Township. Visitation will be 11 AM until the time of service Saturday at the church. A private Inurnment will be at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly at a later date. Arlene was born January 3,1941 in Lansing the daughter of Vernon F. and Ida Ann (Moore) Reid. She married Carl Leroy Newcomer Jr. in Lansing on July 11,1959. She was homemaker. Arlene served as a Guide as a Board Member of Retirees Union Local 598. She enjoyed crafting, knitting, gardening both flowers and vegetable's. Arlene especially loved her cat Midnight. Surviving are: husband, Carl; daughters, Carlene (Oren) Vincent, and Alicia (Shaun) O'Neil; grandchildren, Timothy (Ashley) Vincent, Sarah (Andy Bloss) Vincent, and Kristin (Ryan) Allred; seven great grandchildren; brother, John (Lois) Reid; sister in law, Linda Dugal; and several nieces and nephews.
