Arlene Dorothea Kerr

KERR, Arlene Dorothea - age 89, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, November 30, 2006 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, December 4, 2006 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, with Pastor Mike Durbin officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service Monday. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be held 1:30 PM Monday under the auspices of Linden Chapter # 175 O.E.S. Memorial contributions may be made to the Swartz Creek Fine Arts Association or the Swartz Creek Lodge F&AM #458. Mrs. Kerr was born December 22, 1916 in Swartz Creek, the daughter of Otto G. and Viola I. (Rose) Shuman. She married James Kerr on June 23, 1951 in Swartz Creek and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1986. Mrs. Kerr retired from AC Spark Plug in 1975. She resided in Swartz Creek her entire life in the same family farm house. Mrs. Kerr was a member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church and Linden Chapter #175 O.E.S. She was past president of the Genesee County Association of Eastern Star and a past member of Rebekah Lodge #310, Surviving are: two nephews, Terry Shuman and wife, Cindy of Swartz Creek, Timothy Shuman and wife, Melanie of PA; several great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.
