HOLLAND, Arlene Emma, age 86, of Fenton, died Friday, August 22, 2008 at home. Funeral services will be 12:30PM Monday, August 25, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Interment in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8PM Sunday at the funeral home. Arlene was born October 24, 1921 in Holly, the daughter of the late William and Marguerite (Burrows) Hance. She was a graduate of Milford High School. During WWII, Arlene was part of the 'Rosie the Riveter' women who supported the war through the assembly of military tanks and ammunition. She was later employed by Skuttle Manufacturing producing humidifiers. Arlene married Zeb Holland on August 22, 1973 and then moved to Fenton. She was a member of Fenton VFW Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243 Women's Auxilary. Arlene had a great passion for animals and was a member of the Humane Society. Surviving are her husband of 35 years, Zeb; daughter, Victoria Talcott (Ken) of Fenton; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; step-children, Ricky Holland (Eunice), Bobby Holland (Kathy), Pamela Jackson (Bernie), Randy Holland (Joyce), Eugena Marsh; sister, Betty Woodruff (Chuck); brother, Jerry Hance and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her son, David Allen Markle; brother, 'Duke' Hance; sister, Donna St. Clair.
