Arlene Hetherton

HETHERTON, Arlene E. - age 84, of Flushing, died Monday, December 15, 2014 at Heartland Healthcare Center - Fostrian. Private services have been held. Mrs. Hetherton was born November 29, 1930 in Flushing, the daughter of Homer and Myrtis (Young) Elliott. She was a person of strong opinions but had a big heart. Arlene was a loving servant of Jehovah God and her home was always the gathering place for all of the family functions. Surviving are: husband of 65 years, Seth L. Hetherton; daughter-in-law, Joanne Hetherton of Flint; daughter, Diane Hetherton of Mason, daughter, Karen (Laurin) Athey of Flushing, son, James (Henny) Hetherton of Mt. Dora, FL; five granddaughters; five grandsons; 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Chuck (Carol) Elliott of Winterhaven, FL; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law. She was preceded in death by: her son, Dennis Hetherton in 2006; daughter, Debra Lafferty in 2013 and son-in-law, Mark Lafferty in 1997. The family wishes to thank all of the friends and family for their love and support. A special thank you to the family of caregivers at Heartland - Fostrian.
