Curns, Arlene Marie - Age 97, of Mt. Morris, died November 13, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Tuesday, November 19 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via the link on Arlene's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com) Visitation will be held 10:30 AM Tuesday, November 19 until the time of the service at 11:30 AM. Committal service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, November 19 at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Rd. Holly.
Arlene was born January 1, 1927 in Saginaw, the daughter of Blanchard and Hazel (Yats) Crane. She was a graduate of Northern High School. Arlene married Manley Jack Curns on January 17, 1947 in Flint, he preceded her in death on November 12, 2008. After her children were grown she had worked for General Motors. She was the author of two books, Homemade Noodles & Cars and If This Porch Could Talk.
Arlene was a devote Christian dedicating her life to leading others to Christ. She had a large Facebook following of over 1000 whom she knew many personally. She touched many hearts and lives all around the world. She will be missed by so many.
Arlene is survived by her children, Carol Ann (Jim) Lusk of Mt. Morris, Barbara Blakney of Flushing, Gerald Curns of Houghton Lake; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald Curns; sisters, Lucille McMonagle, Agnes Frink, and Edna Maxwell; brother, Donald Crane; 3 grandchildren, Kyle, Laura, and Stephanie; great grand children Mark and Isaac.
