PILERI, Anthony  Age 65, of Flushing, died Saturday, May 15, 2004 at University Hospital, Ann Arbor. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Wednesday, May 19, 2004 at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 310 N. Cherry St., Flushing, Rev. Fr. Steven F. Makranyi celebrant. Entombment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Monday, 12-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday. A Rosary and Scripture service will be held 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the U of M Transplant Center, St. Roberts Building Fund, or Anthony Pileri Memorial Fund (for health expenses.) Mr. Pileri was born August 24, 1938 in Flint the son of Americo and Elena (Ragnone) Pileri. He married Rosalie Dyer in 1958 in Flint; they were married for 45 ï¿Â½,« (5) years. Mr. Pileri retired from G. M. Service Parts in 1991 with 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church. He was devoted to his family and friends. He was a kind man and liked telling jokes. He was an avid fan of Nascar racing. Surviving are: wife, Rosalie; 4 children, Sue Steelman and husband Bob of Columbia, TN, Michelle Pileri of Flushing, Tony Pileri and wife Jan of Roseville, MI, Lisa Melvin and husband Greg of Dorr, MI; 12 grandchildren, Mitchell and Bridget Steelman, Christine, Sam, Courtney and Katrina Melvin, Tony, Ashley and Heather Pileri, Danny, Kelli, and Lori Fraser; 2 sisters, Jina Norko and husband Ed of Flushing, Joanne Canning and husband Jack of Flushing; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; special aunt Mary Cherveny; dear special friends, Joy and Jerry, Fred and Sharon, Joyce and Don, Fred and Mary, Charlie and Linda, Jim and Wilma. He was preceded in death by his parents. The family extends a special thanks to the U of M Health Systems staff, and especially S.I.C.U. nurses.
