Anthony Koziel

KOZIEL, Anthony Edward "Tony" - Age 86, of Flint Township, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022.  Per Tony's request cremation has taken place and a celebration service will be held at a later date.  Those desiring may make contributions to Make a Wish Foundation.

Tony was born November 10, 1936 in Flint, the son of Anthony Mark and Regina "Virgie" (Kilijanski) Koziel.  He was a 1954 graduate of Flint Central High School and had attended Flint Junior College.  He married Mary Emily Tear December 30, 1955 in Flint and she preceded him in death December 13, 2011.  He retired in 1998 from GM Buick Plant #36 after 43 years of service.  Tony was a member of Lake Fenton United Methodist Church, YMCA, Dom Polski in Flint, and the Harrison Moose Lodge  #2235.  He enjoyed hunting trips with his sons and grandchildren and he was an avid Detroit Red Wings fan.

Surviving are: his children, Julie (Tom) Carr of Swartz Creek, David (Denise) Koziel of Yardley, PA, Andrew Koziel of West Chester, OH and Matthew Koziel (Kim Ficaro) of Ann Arbor; 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sisters, Kathleen Rutherford of Grand Blanc and Regina Johnston of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
